The lido is operated by Sandford Lido Limited, a registered charity which took control of the lido in 1996. Please visit our meet the trustees page for more information.

We have now installed card facilities and are able to offer payment by card.  Minimum transaction is £5.

You had a refurbishment but it all looks the same.  What did you do?
The main work involved with our main pool refurbishment of 2006/7 was below the surface of the pool which stabilized the main pool basin. Please visit the main pool refurbishment minisite.

How long is the main pool?
The main pool is now recognised by the Amatuer Swiming Association as the only officially measured 50 metre outdoor pool in England.  Prior to the refurbishment completed in 2007 the length of the pool was 50.25 metres (165feet).

Yes we do although it is a very busy car park.  Please view information to the right of this page.

There is a café on site which provides a wide selection of food and drink.  Visit our café page

Do you have disabled facilities?
The main pool has progressive steps at the shallow end and a hoist is available upon request.  Please note that there is currently no disabled access to the café.

Car Parking

We have a large car park suitable for over 150 cars which sits directly outside of the lido.

Season ticket holders are entitled to a 100% refund but you must first pay for your car park ticket and display the relevant slip. You then take the tear-off slip to reception in order to collect your Daily Swimmer Refund.

We have Cheltenham Borough Council parking attendants who patrol the car park and are authorised to issue Civil Penalty Tickets for drivers who are not displaying a valid ticket or who have parked outside of a designated bay.

Please take care in the car park as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage caused.
