Sandford Lido Limited is incorporated to provide Sandford Parks Lido in the interest of social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of life for the residents and visitors of Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas.
Sandford Lido Limited is governed by a Board of Trustees. Without the hard work and dedication of the voluntary trustees Sandford Parks Lido's future would be very uncertain. All trustees have a crucial role to ensure the continued success of our charity.
Our charity was formed on the 1st April 1996 to take over operational control of Sandford Parks Lido from Cheltenham Borough Council.
Our objectives are to provide Sandford Parks Lido in the interest of social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of life for the residents and visitors of Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas.

Sandford Lido Limited is responsible for the most historically complete Lido in the UK. It is important that we preserve the facility whilst at the same time ensuring that we continue to offer a high standard of swimming and recreational provision. Through our educational program we must strive to promote our swimming heritage. If you are interested in our lido, our ambitions and our community, help us to meet our challenges by joining our Board of Trustees.
The Sandford Lido Limited Board of Trustees consists of a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 12 people. Their role is primarily a strategic one focusing on the future development of the charity. The appointments are not remunerated, although we reimburse out of pocket expenses incurred such as travel costs.
The Trustees meet 6 to 8 times a year for Board meetings. Trustees are also requested to occasionally serve on smaller sub groups to work on specific projects.

Whist we are not actively recruiting for new trustees, we always welcome and conider any application made.
Candidates should have an understanding of and sufficient commitment to the objectives of Sandford Lido Limited. They should have the ability to work constructively with other trustees and senior management and to take part in strategic decision making. Trustees are unpaid, but will be reimbursed for any expenses.
