- Saturday 18th May 2013 11:00 - 18:00 at Sandford Parks Lido
Congratulations to our first Pink Pentathlete winner - Ruby McCabe. Full results below.
A new fun event for all abilities aged 8-108. If you think that our Cheltenham Triathlon or Devil’s Aquathlon are far too energetic for your liking then do not fear as our Pink Pentathlon is just right for you. Whether you are male, female, young or old we will soon have you horsing around. The event consists of five sporting challenges that bear a smudging of a resemblance to the actual sport of Pentathlon. A one length swim of the main pool of the lido will warm you up ready for a bean bag throwing challenge. Then head across to our equestrian centre (the main lawn) where you will saddle up on our hobby horse and take on our mighty jumps (no Becher’s Brook here). Take aim for our next element with target shooting with water pistols. Finally a short run/walk will complete the event. Who will be the Pink Pentathlon champion? Will it be Granny or the 8 year old grandchild? Points will be awarded for each event with handicaps in place for the younger and older competitors.
Saturday 18th May from 11am – 6pm. Competitors can take part in each element throughout the day and their points will be totalled up to crown the Pink Pentathlon champion.
Between 1-3pm you can have a go at some fencing with former GB Modern Pentathlete Russell North. All welcome.
Entry price is £7 per person which includes entry to Sandford Parks Lido for the day.
The event is managed in partnership with Sandford Lido Ltd (Registered charity #1052203) and Maggie Keswick Jencks Cancer Caring Centres Trust (Maggie’s) (Registered charity # SC024414)
